Will I need follow-up appointments?

What's the difference between hearing aids from an audiologist and those bought online or in a pharmacy?

Clinical hearing aids fitted by a qualified audiologist are programmed specifically to your hearing profile using diagnostic testing and real ear measurements. Over-the-counter devices are one-size-fits-all amplifiers, they may boost volume, but they’re not calibrated to your individual loss and can’t replicate the outcome of a proper clinical fitting.

Does private health insurance cover hearing aids?

Some private health extras covers include a rebate toward hearing aids. The amount varies by fund and level of cover. We recommend checking with your insurer before your appointment.
